PPSC 2025 NOTIFICATION-SYLLABUS, EXAM PATTERN AND PDF DOWNLOAD
Candidates preparing for the PPSC PCS will follow the exam pattern prescribed by the board. Currently, the phases are separated into three: preliminary, main, and interview examination. The Punjab Public Service Commission conducts several tests to recruit the most worthy, eligible, and competent people for State functions and other administrative functions provided by the Punjab Government.
The State Service Exam is divided into three phases:
preliminary exams, main exams, and an interview round. The PPSC PSC Exam is used by the commission to hire applicants for various positions.
While preparing for the exam, students must ensure that they are well aware with the PPSC exam pattern. To be hired through the Punjab Public Service Commission, candidates must pass three phases of the exam.
The PPSC exam pattern will assist candidates understand the overall question paper and topics covered in the exam.
In this article, we will go over the PPSC PCS test pattern, which includes the preliminary, main, and interview rounds.
PPSC EXAM PATTERN
The PPSC PCS recruitment process has three steps. Candidates who pass the first stage are regarded eligible for the second one. Candidates who pass the second stage are eligible for the third stage of the PPSC PCS. Candidates should take notice of the exam pattern in order to better prepare for the exam. The exam pattern for the PPSC Exam 2025 is expected to be the same as in prior cycles. Any changes to the same will be communicated through the official announcement, which has yet to be made. PPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The Preliminary Examination is just a screening test to choose applicants who will be eligible to take the Main Examination, and the marks acquired in this examination will not be credited towards the merit of the candidates determined after the Main Examination.Candidates equivalent to 13 times the number of openings announced in each category would be chosen from the Preliminary Examination to participate in the Main Examination. The standard of questions would be to assess the knowledge of someone who has completed at least a bachelor's degree.The exam pattern for the PPSC Prelims Exam 2025 is expected to be the same as in past recruitment cycles. Any modifications to this will be reflected here. The two papers for the PPSC Prelims Examination are as follows.
Paper I
There are 100 questions with a total of 200 marks.
Each question carries two marks.
There is no negative marking; however, any objections to the Answer Key that are judged to be untrue, frivolous, or not supported by legitimate evidence may be marked negatively.
The question paper will be bilingual, printed in both English and Punjabi, with the exception of questions that will assess applicants' language proficiency.
Paper II
There are 80 questions and 200 marks.
Each question carries a weight of 2.5 points.
There is no negative marking; however, any objections to the Answer Key that are judged to be untrue, frivolous, or not supported by legitimate evidence may be marked negatively.
The question paper will be bilingual, printed in both English and Punjabi, with the exception of questions that will assess applicants' language proficiency.
PPSC MAINS EXAM 2025 PATTERN
All articles will be descriptive in character.
The main competitive test will consist of seven obligatory papers.
Candidates will be able to attempt all of the papers save the language papers in Punjabi or English medium.
Candidates who choose to answer Papers in Punjabi may provide the English version within brackets of only the technical phrases, if any, in addition to the Punjabi version.
Except for language papers, all question papers will be in English. However, if a candidate chooses to attempt any paper(s) in Punjabi, the question papers will be produced accordingly.
PPSC PCS Exam Pattern for Interview 2025
Note: No applicant will be considered for the interview phase unless he or she receives 45% in the aggregate of all papers (40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes), with at least 25% in each paper.
The viva voce test will be conducted by an Interview Board that includes the Chairman, Commission Members, and an independent expert. To interview candidates, numerous Interview Boards may be set up. When an Interview Board is not presided over by the Commission's Chairman, the most senior member serves as Chairman.
